GENERATOR GOVERNOR CONTROL SYSTEM

DESCRIPTION

This class will give you the opportunity to learn more about the analog and digital controls in association with the rotating equipment control system and its components.

OBJECTIVES

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Demonstrate a strong foundation on Governor and AVR control theorypertaining to the controller.
• Demonstrate an understanding sensor, transducer, controller and the actuator.
• Demonstrate analog and digital control system, calibration the controls and adjust actuators, linkage and accessories.
• Demonstrate an understanding of electrical power management control system,
• Demonstrate an understanding of theory and methods of generator control system.

   • Generator and Exciter and Operating Procedure
   • Routine Maintenance

• Closed Loop Speed and Voltage Control
