INTRODUCTION

High HSE standards in onshore drilling operations will be achieved when all levels of Drilling and Support personnel participate actively and involve directly in planning, organizing, implementing and controlling Drilling HES Work Program include property design and equipment layout by well managed and well trained personnel. Many onshore drilling operations potentially hazardous situations and conditions which will harm to people, damage to drilling equipment, loss to drilling operations process and damage to environment.

  • Introduction to HSE Regulations/Procedures of RI Government (MIGAS, Environmental Ministry, etc.) related to onshore drilling operations.
  • Introduction to recognized international HSE recommended practices or references on onshore drilling operations, such as IADC, API, ASTM, AWS, etc.
  •  Basic concepts of HSE Management System.
  • HSE Leadership and Commitment in onshore drilling operations.
  • HSE aspects at drilling well location, Toolpusher or Company man Trailer/Port camp/Office, Mechanical/Electrical workshop, etc.
  •  HSE aspects at rig floor, dog house, derrick, mud tank, water tank, fuel tank, lube oil storage, temporary explosive & radiological sources storage.
  •  HSE aspects at Substructure, Cellar, BOP Stack, Accumulator and pipe rack.
  •  HSE aspects at mud pumps, generator/genset, chemical mixing hopper and chemical or mud materials storage, air compressor and hydraulic pump unit.
  •  HSE aspects on heavy equipment operations (crane, dozer, backhoe, forklift)
  • HSE aspects on welding and cutting torch equipment operation.
  •  HSE aspects on specific operations (MIRU, R/D, logging, cementing, perforating, etc.), H2S handling, Emergency Drills, Work Permits, LOTO, etc
  •   Case Study/Group discussions on actual HSE problems of Hoisting System, Rotating System, Circulation System, Power System and Blowout Prevention System.
