  3. Sources of failure and failure mechanisms (failure modes); ductile / brittle fracture, fatigue failures, wear / erosion failures, corrosion, creep, hydrogen damage failures, etc.
  4. Failures of various products of metals-working processes (casting, forging, weldments, etc)
  5. Failures of various industrial components (shafts, bearing, gears, fasteners, etc)
  6. Failures of various industrials equipment (boilers, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, pipeline, lifting equipment, etc)
  7. Engineering and metallurgical fundamentals to prevent future failure
  8. Case histories of typical failures and their preventions
